![]() ![]() ![]() DLC 4 received a large number of complaints pertaining to its length. Needless to say, expectations were high, perhaps too high considering this DLC was predominantly worked on and launched in the midst of a pandemic. After all, Borderlands 2's final DLC was Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep and was widely seen as one of the best DLCs of all time. The final DLC of the Season Pass featured a beloved fan-favorite character, Krieg the Psycho, giving many fans high hopes for this expansion. The DLC was very well-received, and continued the trend of strong DLCs from Gearbox going into the last half of the Season Pass. All of the characters fit the strange and unsettling environment, but still manage to bring that silly Borderlands charm that fans expect from Gearbox. Guns, Love, & Tentacles has both excellent story and character writing, including some of the best side quests in the entire game. The Vault Hunters team up with former Vault Hunter-turned-Wedding Planner Gaige to put a stop to the mysterious Cult on Xylourgos and make sure Hammerlock and Wainwright get their happy wedding. This DLC features the wedding of Sir Hammerlock and Wainwright Jakobs, but as they arrive to their wedding venue on the strange planet of Xylourgos, things take an unexpected turn for the worse for the grooms-to-be. Guns, Love, & Tentacles was Borderlands 3 's venture into eldritch horror and was both visually and narratively much different than anything Gearbox had attempted with the series to this point. Overall, Moxxi's Heist had many fans believing that the Season Pass would be bringing great installments the entire way through. The character writing was on-point, and the narrative was well constructed, especially considering the length of the DLC. This DLC also introduced a ton of new and returning Legendary weapons that fans could grind for, giving players something to work toward after completing the DLC's relatively short story. The DLC's writing felt like a true heist movie, which fans really enjoyed. DLC 1 was well-received by many, seeing it as a fun, welcome change to the generally lackluster story that Borderlands 3 brought to the table. Players joined up with Moxxi and returning fan-favorite Timothy Lawrence to take over Handsome Jack's beloved space-casino that was left dormant following his demise in Borderlands 2. Gearbox or 2K should confirm the price soon.Moxxi's Heist was the first Borderlands 3DLC introduced with the Season Pass, and it certainly set the bar high for what fans expected from the future content drops. We’re assuming the Director’s Cut won’t be the same price as otherwise that means you can get both DLCs for $29.98, 1 cent cheaper than the season pass. The Designer’s Cut DLC is currently available for $14.99. Other content included with the DLC involves behind-the-scenes content such as bloopers, cut content, concept art, storyboards, lost maps, and “tons of footage that charts the game’s development.” Director’s Cut will be available as part of Season Pass 2 for $29.99, or it can be purchased individually. If players have access to multiple cards, they can pick the one they want active at any time, and the content never expires. The content of the other two cards hasn’t been revealed but they’ll be released throughout the year. The first card to launch will feature items that honor the franchise’s heroes that didn’t make it. Max out the card and you’ll get a “massive” cache of themed cosmetic items, as well as “supremely powerful” gear that will scale to your level. Once a Vault Card is activated, players level it up by completing a selection of more than 100 daily and weekly challenges. Three Vault Cards will be available to owners of the Director’s Cut DLC. Of course, there’ll also be loot to find along the way, as well as teasers, hints, and secrets that relate to the game’s main story. The missions will take players to new locations on Pandora, Promethea, Eden-6, and Nekrotafeyo. Ava thinks they’re supernatural, and it’s up to you to keep her safe as she investigates the killings for her podcast series. Mysterious deaths have occurred in several places. There will also be murder mystery missions to solve using a crime scene analysis mechanic. ![]()
